Hungry Hearts, Thirsty Thursday #146

Hello All!!!!

Welcome to my favorite meme of the week, Hungry Hearts, and thirsty Thursday #146. This meme is hosted by the wonderful Lexxie @ unconventional book views

The idea of Thirsty Thursday and Hungry Hearts is to share a quote with food or drinks that showed up in a recent read, as well as if it’s something you think you’d like or not. Please share the title of the book it happened in, as well as the character who ate or drank the special little something you discovered between the pages of a good read. Share your link, and that is it.

For this week guys, it was so hard for me to choose a book. But finally ended up in picking Thyme out by Katie Fforde. It is indeed a wonderful chick lit book, that I enjoyed very much, sometime back.

I picked up a hungry portion of the story. Here, the main character Perditha is helping in his Ex-husband, Lucas’s kitchen as a helper, to cover up on another worker who has gone out on a date. It is rather a steamy situation, where they do not talk with each other, but focus only on work. Lucas is bossing around, which kind of annoys Perditha, but she hinders her annoyance just to cover up for the other girl.

Perditha didn’t allow herself to look over her shoulder often, but when she did, Lucas seemed to be everywhere, shaking pans, pulling lights down over plates, creating delicate towers of rosti, aubergines, pureed swede, whichhe heaped about with slices of crimson lamb or duck, and then drizzle with gravy. Every serving had to be as pleasing to the eye as it was to the palate, every detail of every plate had to be checked by Lucas

Until next post,
