Thirsty Thursday and Hungry Hearts #162

Hello All!!!

It’s been way too long since I took part in this delicious meme. This is one of my all time favorite memes since it talks about food and drink. I was unable to take part in it for the past few months, but finally I am taking part in the 162nd one.

This yummy meme is hosted by (Un) Conventional Bookworms. Do not forget to visit their blog.

The idea of Thirsty Thursday and Hungry Hearts is to share a quote with food or drinks that showed up in a recent read, as well as if it’s something you think you’d like or not. Share the title of the book it happened in, as well as the character who ate or drank the special little something you discovered between the pages of a good read.

For this week my pick is from my current read, To Hell in a Coach Bag by M.J. Schiller. The story is about two lunch ladies and this is where they serve the kindergarten kids their lunch for the day. After reading, it simply made my mouth to water.

She gazed up at me with big blue eyes twinkling in the fluorescent light. “What’s for lunch?”

“Well now, Let’s see” I crouched so I was closer to the girls level. “It appears to be pizza, apple slices, carrots and a cookie.”

“Yum, my favorite”
“Hey.” I placed my hands on my hips as I rose. “Didn’t you say that yesterday?”

She giggled, and continued on.

I simply love the way the reaction of the little girl towards her lunch and the two lunch ladies. Hoping to do the review of this book very soon.

Thank you so very much for visiting my blog! I hope you enjoyed!

Until next post,

XOXOX
