Thirsty Thursday and Hungry Hearts #162

Hello All!!!

It’s been way too long since I took part in this delicious meme. This is one of my all time favorite memes since it talks about food and drink. I was unable to take part in it for the past few months, but finally I am taking part in the 162nd one.

This yummy meme is hosted by (Un) Conventional Bookworms. Do not forget to visit their blog.

The idea of Thirsty Thursday and Hungry Hearts is to share a quote with food or drinks that showed up in a recent read, as well as if it’s something you think you’d like or not. Share the title of the book it happened in, as well as the character who ate or drank the special little something you discovered between the pages of a good read.

For this week my pick is from my current read, To Hell in a Coach Bag by M.J. Schiller. The story is about two lunch ladies and this is where they serve the kindergarten kids their lunch for the day. After reading, it simply made my mouth to water.

She gazed up at me with big blue eyes twinkling in the fluorescent light. “What’s for lunch?”

“Well now, Let’s see” I crouched so I was closer to the girls level. “It appears to be pizza, apple slices, carrots and a cookie.”

“Yum, my favorite”
“Hey.” I placed my hands on my hips as I rose. “Didn’t you say that yesterday?”

She giggled, and continued on.

I simply love the way the reaction of the little girl towards her lunch and the two lunch ladies. Hoping to do the review of this book very soon.

Thank you so very much for visiting my blog! I hope you enjoyed!

Until next post,

Hungry Hearts, Thirsty Thursday #147

Hello All!!!

Welcome back to the yummiest meme of the week! Hungry Hearts, Thirsty Thursday!!!! hosted by wonderful Lexxie @ Unconventional Book Views

Do visit her blog for more details…

This week my pick is, my current read, Six of Crows by Leigh Bardugo.

This happens When Kaz meets Nina, to discuss about his plan. Before they start talking, this is what happens;

Nina threw herself into a chair at the table and wriggled her feet out of her jeweled slippers, digging her toes into the plush white carpet. “Ahhh,” she said contentedly. ” So much better.” She shoved one of the cakes from the coffee service into her mouth and mumbled, “What do you want, Kaz?”

At this time I am having a craving for a piece of cake like Nina. I specifically chose this part, because of the word Cake. I love cake, I know I sound a bit crazy…. :p, but that’s the truth.

This excerpt makes me feel like staying at home and relaxing, exactly the same way like Nina. It is so warm and cozy. I hope you enjoyed!!!

Until next post,

XOXOX

Hungry Hearts, Thirsty Thursday #146

Hello All!!!!

Welcome to my favorite meme of the week, Hungry Hearts, and thirsty Thursday #146. This meme is hosted by the wonderful Lexxie @ unconventional book views

For this week guys, it was so hard for me to choose a book. But finally ended up in picking Thyme out by Katie Fforde. It is indeed a wonderful chick lit book, that I enjoyed very much, sometime back.

I picked up a hungry portion of the story. Here, the main character Perditha is helping in his Ex-husband, Lucas’s kitchen as a helper, to cover up on another worker who has gone out on a date. It is rather a steamy situation, where they do not talk with each other, but focus only on work. Lucas is bossing around, which kind of annoys Perditha, but she hinders her annoyance just to cover up for the other girl.

Perditha didn’t allow herself to look over her shoulder often, but when she did, Lucas seemed to be everywhere, shaking pans, pulling lights down over plates, creating delicate towers of rosti, aubergines, pureed swede, whichhe heaped about with slices of crimson lamb or duck, and then drizzle with gravy. Every serving had to be as pleasing to the eye as it was to the palate, every detail of every plate had to be checked by Lucas

Until next post,
