You are The Best Friend by Ajay K. Pandey – Book Review

Hello Lovely Book Lovers!!!

Another book review from my blog. Saw this book on Amazon, had no idea what it was all about. But, after reading, I felt so  blessed to have read a true love story.

So this is it;

36500597

Synopsis

Ajay has lost his wife and is deep in depression. No amount of medication or therapy seems to help him as he struggles with his grief. He has only one wish—he wants to immortalize his wife.

Then, he meets Anisha, who is shocked at Ajay’s hatred towards God. How can a person hate God? Where would that hatred lead him? Anisha is ready to judge Ajay harshly, when a simple, caring and guileless gesture changes her perception of him.

So begins the journey of two people who are poles apart. A journey which will change their outlook towards life.

A bittersweet tale, told very simply, by a man who lost everything, except his ability to find humour in the world. This is the story of Ajay who finds a second lease of life. What helps him? A friend? Or the love that he finds again?

Bestselling author Ajay Pandey takes you on another emotional roller coaster with his scintillating new book that will reaffirm your faith in life.(from Goodreads)

My Review

“Everyone has a friend during every stage of life. But only the lucky ones have the same friend in all stages of life”

As mentioned before, I got the book via Amazon without even reading the synopsis. The cover art and the title touched my heart. That is exactly where I felt waves of emotions about the book. If I put things together in a very simple way, I am so glad I read it.

The book is filled with human emotions, that you, and me all go through. The pain of loss and being lost in two worlds of the living and the dead. Ajay, a 30 ish IT officer at an IT company who looses his wife Bhavana, 2 years back. Ajay is totally depressed and no amount of medication can not put him back to his normal self. People, family, friends and colleagues pity him, which makes him more depressed. He spends a very reserved life until, one day he meets Anisha, a young and beautiful girl in her late 20’s.

I pitied Ajay as all the other characters in the story. A man loves her wife shows the heart warming nature of the character. But I must state that the ray of sunshine in the story, Anisha is my favorite character. She brings hope, light and love to Ajay’s barren and isolated life. The way she reaches and touches the deepest point of Ajay’s heart is mesmerizing. I was totally touched by the story and fell in love with almost all the characters.

Ajay K. Pandey speaks not only about the emotions of the humans, but also touches the deepest part of the hearts of the reader. Such an amazing and wonderful story.

If you have not read this book, I think you definitely should.

The obsession started ten years ago and its fan base now spans the globe, some eager to escape from reality and others hoping to make a profit. My Reveiw

From 2017, I was trying to get a hold of this book, but did not get the opportunity. First I fell in love with the cover with its colorful letters. I was able to complete the book within 3 days, because it was completely intriguing.

So, this is why the book was completely special to me;

  1. We meet our valorous female protagonist, Emika Chan who is a bounty hunter in the New York city, draped in poverty and debt. Her life changes from penniless to affluent in days by the offer of the young, well renowned, billionaire and the creator of the Warcross game, Hideo Tanaka.
  2. The story was amazing. I was speechless after reading it. I felt that Marie Lu being in the video game industry, have had some influence in creating this story.
  3. One of the most important things that I found in this story was that it did not get dragged or bogged down in the same place. It is totally hypersonic, which is why I love it so much. You feel that the story is moving forward while reading without being in the same spot. It kept me hooked-up to the book till the end, without feeling even slightly bored.
  4. The romance aspect of the story was really great and I enjoyed reading. I found the romance between Hideo and Emika, super cute. ❤ ❤ ❤ The way their love built, gradually is so adorable.
  5. The ending was totally not what I expected. There is an excitement that builds gradually when you reach the end of the story. The ending makes the reader wants to know what will happen next? So, definitely the sequel 🙂
  6. If I don’t talk about Hideo Tanaka, I think I am being completely unfair. Hideo’s character is the most complicated one the in the story. His childhood and how it affected in his present life is well presented by the author.
  7. Overall the plot, characters and the settings are amazing.

There is so much I can keep on talking about this wonderful story. But, I am forcing myself to stop from here 🙂 🙂 🙂

My current reading status…

Hello All!!!

Welcome to my blog, on this lovely Sunday. As you might have already noted, I have not done a TBR post for the month of September, because I have not yet totally decided on, what I should be reading. My thoughts are swirling and I am unable to pick up one exact book from my TBR pile. So, being said that, I thought it is better not to have a precise TBR post for September.

These are the books that I am currently reading;

The Biography of Adele is my very first experience in reading one. I am so glad that I chose this book, because her story is completely inspiring me.

The second book is Celebrity chef zombie apocalypse by Jack D. McLean. I received  this book, from the author, in exchange for an honest review, and the review will be up soon.

Next is what I have in line in my TBR. I have way too many books in my TBR pile, and day by day it is going pretty crazy. But I am sure I will be able to sort it out. Blood crescent by S.M. McCoy is what I am planning to read next.

I have already completed reading the following books;

39333389   17860621

That is all it folks for today. I am planning to write to my blog more frequently in the coming weeks. Also, trying my best to reach my reading goals for the month of September.

Until next post,

XOXOX
